INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS — A BRIEF HISTORY

International Players started in 1981 as an initiative of several parents at the Lycée International de Saint-Germain-en-Laye. New members were recruited from neighbouring communities in Les Yvelines, as well as in central Paris. The association is now based in Le Pecq (association, loi 1901). International Players puts on plays and musicals once or twice a year. We also have member activities such as workshops, play readings and social events throughout the year.

For most of its history, the bigger productions – especially musicals – have been performed in the Salle des Fêtes, now known as Le Quai 3, in Le Pecq. Le Pecq is the village immediately next to St. Germain-en-Laye. Many smaller plays have been performed at the Maison des Associations in St. Germain-en-Laye. Both Le Pecq and St. Germain-en-Laye can be easily accessed by public transport from Paris on the RER A.
